The City of Newport supports the arts and will do its best to negotiate film, photograph and television production logistics. At the same time, production companies are required to review and respect the City of Newport ordinances and regulations (fire, noise, parking and traffic, alcohol, productions and use of bright lighting after dark and general nuisances).
Newport is a city of neighborhoods, so please respect the quality of life of our residents. Permits which may be required include:
Screen credit to the City of Newport is assumed. Early coordination is the key to accommodating the particular needs of your production, and all permit requests should be submitted no later than 10 business days prior to any filming or photography . This indemnification shall include, but not be limited to, any acts, omissions, stunts, special effects, equipment use, vehicle operations, or other activities undertaken before during or after actual filming activities by the Applicant, its employees, contractors, subcontractors, agents, or representatives in connection with the permitted activities, whether occurring on public or private property.
The Applicant further agrees to hold the City harmless from any liability for personal injury, death, property damage, or other loss sustained by any person or entity that arises out of or is in any way connected to the permitted filming activities, except to the extent caused by the sole negligence or willful misconduct of the City.
Other: All attached addenda and exhibits are incorporated into and made part of this permit application, and the Applicant agrees to be bound by their terms
