PARKING BANS ISSUED FOR THE POINT, HISTORIC HILL FOR SNOW REMOVAL OPERATIONS

Residents Urged to Seek Out Free Parking at Gateway Center, City Lots

NEWPORT, RI (MONDAY, FEB. 2nd, 2026) -- The City’s Public Services team is continuing snow removal operations and will be implementing a Neighborhood Parking Ban Tuesday, Feb. 3rd for The Point, and Wednesday, Feb. 4th for Historic Hill from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Residents of The Point will be required to move their vehicles to off-street parking Tuesday, Feb. 3rd FROM 6 A.M. UNTIL 6 P.M. on the following streets:

Washington Street	Poplar Street (west of America's Cup)	Sunshine Court
Second Street	Pine Street	Battery Street
Third Street	Elm Street (west of America's Cup)	LaSalle Place
Chase Street	Chestnut Street	Maitland Court
Guerney Court	Willow Street	Van Zandt Avenue (west of Farewell)
Gladding Court	Walnut Street	Katzman Place
Bayside Avenue	Cherry Street	Sycamore Street
Marsh Street		Dyer's Gate
Bridge Street (west of America's Cup)

Residents of Historic Hill will be required to move their vehicles to off-street parking Wednesday, Feb. 4th FROM 6 A.M. UNTIL 6 P.M. on the following streets:

Division Street
School Street
High Street
Osborne Court
Corne Street
Cotton Court
Touro Park West
Martin Street
Thomas Street
Mill Street
John Street
Franklin Street

Pelham Street

Mary Street

Please note that the above streets will be closed while work is taking place and vehicles left on the road will be subject to tow. Impacted residents are encouraged to take advantage of FREE PARKING at any of the City's public parking lots, as well as on-street metered and unmetered spaces, including downtown and Broadway. Thank you for your cooperation as we continue to dig out from last week's storm.
