DECEMBER CLINICS:

Join the Newport Recreation Staff for a 3 week instructional basketball clinic for all skill levels. There will be various development drills and games as well as scrimmages as the clinic progresses.

Dates: DEC: 5, 12, 19

Location: Martin Recreation Center (The Hut)

Time: Saturdays (exact time TBD after sign ups)

Fee: $30 per child (Newport residents) $50 per child (non-residents)

**Resident Registration begins 9/12/2026 at noon. Non Resident Registration begins 10/10/2026.

**Deadline to register November 15**

RECREATION LEAGUE:

This program is open for players of all levels looking to improve their gameplay through skill development work and refereed scrimmage games on Saturdays (no Standings or results will be recorded). League is open to boys and girls grades 1-8.

Fee: Early Registration (before 11/30/2026) - Resident $80, Non-Resident $120
Registration after 11/30/2026- Resident $100, Non-Resident $140

INSTRUCTIONAL PROGRAM:

This program is meant to teach the very basic fundamentals of basketball with a heavy focus on drills and fun activities to improve skills play and less focus on game play. Program is designed for beginner boys and girls in kindergarten and 1st grade.

FEB 6, 13

Location: Martin Recreation Center (The Hut)
Time: Saturdays 8:00am - 8:45am
Fee: Newport Residents: $60 - Non-Residents: $80

RIYBA Travel Basketball League:

Competitive regional play will be taking part in the Rhode Island Metro West Basketball Division. Please visit Newport Youth Basketball Association for registration information.
